Consider these two daunting tasks: learning a foreign language and singing karaoke in front of a group of strangers. Now imagine combining the two.

Students at the Alliance Francaise, the French Institute of New York did just that. They gathered in midtown Manhattan for a special kind of French lesson: a karaoke 'sing-off', in French, of course.
